Accessibility

The South Central Regional Transit District (SCRTD) is committed to providing accessible transportation services for all riders.

SCRTD buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts and priority seating for individuals with disabilities. Our operators are trained to assist riders using mobility devices, provide route information, and announce stops upon request.

Passengers may travel with respirators, oxygen concentrators, and portable oxygen equipment. Service animals are welcome on all SCRTD vehicles and in our facilities and must remain under the passenger’s control.

Public information is available in alternative formats upon request.

Reasonable Modification

Passengers with disabilities may request reasonable modifications to current service procedures to ensure access to SCRTD services.

To make a request, please call 575-323-1620 or email admin@scrtd.org.
Our staff will discuss the Reasonable Modification Policy with you.

Fares

All SCRTD bus services are fare-free through December 31, 2026.

Fare collection will begin on January 1, 2027.

SCRTD will not charge additional fares to passengers who require reasonable modifications.
