The Transit District has been awarded new funding from the New Mexico Department of Transportation, Dona Ana County and local member jurisdictions. The funding will support new bus service, the Green Route, to northern Dona Ana County communities, more specifically, Hatch and Garfield. The additional funds will be used for both operations and to match federal funds to provide much needed capital funding. Public meetings to discuss the new service will occur this summer with service expected to start in the fall.
